Canada has been a happy hunting ground for Apple Music in recent times: its deal with Drake, for example.

Now it’s going back to the country to source a new original TV show for its service. The show is called House of Strombo, and it’ll be hosted by Canadian TV and radio star George Stroumboulopoulos.

9 to 5 Mac explained: “The new series will include house party-like live performances from the host’s home in Toronto, Canada and will include videos of the concerts on Apple Music, as well as interviews with artists and behind-the-scenes content.”

The show is a spin-off from Stroumboulopoulos’ existing Sunday-night radio show, which also focuses on live performances. Its initial run on Apple Music will be 10 episodes.

“The bands set-up right in my living room, with a live audience packing the place,” said the host in a statement. “Lights, smoke machines and amplifiers stacked high: it’s every gig in a small space that you’ve ever loved, with the best bands in the world.”
