The Client Solutions Director for Nielsen Music will be responsible for licensing and delivering Nielsen Music data solutions to music publisher and performing right organization clients, providing thought-leadership and strategic direction and supporting ongoing clients’ needs.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-New business acquisition across the music publishing and performing rights sector
-Account management and renewal of a multi-million dollar music industry client base in US
-Provide professional client service from C-Suite to junior administrative staff
-Technical and operational project management for contract execution
-Navigate a multi-layered leadership organization, successfully working with technical team, operations, finance, legal and marketing
-Train clients on Nielsen tools and systems and deliver industry updates
-Maintain awareness of publishing and PRO business developments and develop thought leadership
-Contribute to Nielsen strategy for music publishing and performing rights sector
-Ideally based in New York, and will consider LA and Nashville
Travel required between New York, Nashville and Los Angeles
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Experienced music industry professional, ideally 7+ years’ experience at a PRO or publisher
-Solid experience of deal execution, contract structure and negotiation
-Familiarity with music data and research methodologies
-Comfortable with presenting and public speaking
-Technical experience and familiarity with music metadata for both recordings and works
-Self-directed and motivated. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work flexibly and fast in a changing environment
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Meticulous attention to detail
-Ability to travel as necessary
-Friendly, dynamic, great networker and comfortable operating at all levels
