Fresh from announcing an exclusive documentary with Apple Music, Harry Styles is also making his presence felt on Snapchat.

The former One Direction star has followed Ed Sheeran in getting his own stealthily-launched lens on the social app, inspired by the artwork for his recent single ‘Sign of the Times’.

At least, that’s what entertainment site Mashable claims. The lens was a rippling-water reflection effect, although unlike Sheeran’s lens, there didn’t appear to be any music.

“To be fair to One Directioners, the filter is pretty esoteric, but Mashable can confirm the lens IS Harry Styles’ new song,” claimed the site.

The lens was available yesterday but has disappeared from the app today – pro tip: by setting your smartphone’s date back a day, you can still access it, as with any time-limited Snapchat lens.

If the lens is an official thing, it may be a similar no-fee deal to the Sheeran lens, which was the result of a partnership between Atlantic Records and Snapchat where no money changed hands.
