The latest music-streaming service getting into the podcasts game is Tidal, which has announced a range of audio shows under the banner of ‘Tidal On Air’.

it’s starting with five podcasts. In Real Life will focus on “music, motherhood and everything else that happens off the clock”, while Rap Radar is a revived hip-hop-focused podcast, and En La Mira will focus on Latin Pop.

The Guest Spot is a topical debate show featuring stand-up comedians, while US-based Spanish-language DJ Luis Jiménez will host a series of special podcasts for Tidal, according to Engadget.

Tidal appears to be taking a more Deezer-esque approach to the podcasts market, placing the emphasis on developing its own original shows, rather than just providing a platform for existing podcasts.
