Compilations label Heard Well is topping the charts in south-east Asia with its latest release ‘Litunes’.
As with its other albums, this one is curated by an online influencer. Or rather, a pair of them: brother-and-sister duo Ranz Kyle and Nian Guerrero, who make dance videos on YouTube under the name Ranz and Niana.
‘Litunes’ is already topping the iTunes charts in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia following its release last Friday, reports Tubefilter.
“This is a really big moment for Heard Well. Western based music companies work tirelessly to find ways to introduce their new artists to foreign markets,” said its head of records and publishing Aaron Saltzman.
“Using the power of our social creators, we have taken a compilation of twelve tracks we love, and added the fuel to bring these records to the top of the charts across Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, and Indonesia overnight.”
The news comes shortly after Heard Well signed a partnership with publisher Sony/ATV, with plans to feature the latter’s emerging songwriters’ works in its compilations.
