Apple has pushed out its latest software update for its Watch smartwatch, and watchOS 4.1 has some notable features for music fans.

Apple Music subscribers will now be able to browse and stream the entire catalogue from their watch, rather than having to download specific playlists to it for offline listening.

9 to 5 Mac reports that the software update also includes a separate ‘Radio’ app which streams Beats 1 as well as other radio stations like NPR and ESPN in the US.

Smartwatches have so far been a niche accessory when it comes to music consumption, mostly ignored by an industry that’s been getting much more excited about smart speakers. Perhaps watchOS 4.1 will bring a little more attention back to the wearables space too.
