7digital

B2B digital-music firm 7digital has signed a contract with US streaming service 8tracks. The company says the deal has a minimum term of one year.

7digital has also signed a new contract with its largest shareholder, retailer MediaMarktSaturn, to migrate the latter’s Juke streaming service on to 7digital’s platform.

The news comes as a number of 7digital’s other recently-signed clients launch their services: Altair Engineering’s Weyv service in the US; French firm Deedo’s streaming service in France, Senegal, Mali and Ivory Coast; and German broadcaster Klassik Radio’s streaming service Klassik Radio Select.

Deedo in particular is an interesting firm: 7digital says it plans to launch in 23 more countries between now and 2020, including the US, Canada, five European territories, and 16 more African countries.
