Debating the future for music merch and direct-to-fan sales

From merchandise and ticketing to crowdfunding, modern music artists have more options than ever to go ‘direct to fan’ and build a sustainable income to complement their recordings.

But how can they make the most of those options? A panel at the FastForward conference in Amsterdam today debated how the D2F (or D2C) world is evolving, and how artists can capitalise.

It included PledgeMusic’s Chloe Johnson; artist Dan le Sac; AEI Group’s Leanne Joseph; and D2F consultant Russel Coultart. Wicksteed Works’ Jessie Scoullar moderated.
