Stephen Glicken spent seven years in senior business-development roles at ticketing startups CrowdSurge and Songkick. Now he’s working on something new, having co-founded a startup called Project Admission with Jordan Stone, whose past includes a stint handling digital media and marketing for Taylor Swift.
“Project Admission has created DTM, a software solution for ticketing companies to track digital ticket ownership, increase revenue through managed exchanges, and help consumers transfer, and resell certified tickets,” is how the Nashville-based startup is pitching itself.
Glicken has been telling Billboard more. “I personally am a big fan of distributed commerce, so rather than locking everything into a vertical and making everything primarily into one company, our thought is to try to tie all the markets together with the idea of giving the control back to the primary ticket seller,” he said.
“The primary partner for us is a ticketing company like Etix, but we’re also exploring how we can wrap around the primary ticket, and allow it to pass through a secondary market with control remaining with the primary.”
