YouTube has promoted Victoria Campoamor to its global head of publishing strategy and operations, working out of the company’s New York office.
The well-respected executive was previously head of international music publishing partner operations for YouTube and Google Play, and before that head of music partnerships EMEA – both roles based in London. Campoamor joined Google from collecting society PRS for Music in early 2014.
Meanwhile, Spotify has announced its own promotion: UK senior editor Austin Daboh is stepping up to a position as head of shows and editorial in the UK, taking over from former boss George Ergatoudis, who left earlier this year reportedly for a new post at Apple Music.
Daboh’s role at Spotify has included overseeing its key urban playlists, including Who We Be, which was recently extended into a series of live concerts.
