SoundCloud is the latest music-streaming service to figure out how to pipe its music (and in this case, other audio too) in to Instagram’s stories feature. SoundCloud thinks the feature will be useful for artists who are dropping new tracks on its service. “As an artist, you can post a link to the single you just dropped so your followers can connect directly to the track on SoundCloud and access your new music on the spot. With mobile commenting, your fans can listen and give you feedback in real-time,” it explained in a blog post.

The feature began rolling out to mobile users on iOS and Android yesterday. Earlier this year, Spotify and Instagram announced a similar sharing feature, while Instagram has also launched a licensed library of tracks for use as background music in stories, accessed within its app.
