British rock band Muse are preparing for the release of their latest album ‘Simulation Theory’ and an accompanying stadium tour. The latter has an interesting tech element, with fans able to buy an ‘Enhanced Experienced Package’ that will include… well, some simulations.

Fans stumping up for the package will get a premium reserved ticket in the first 15 rows or a general-admission floor ticket, but they’ll also get access to ‘the Muse Mixed Reality Pre-Show Party’ which is a partnership with Microsoft. “Immerse yourself in three virtual reality games based on songs from Muse’s new album, ‘Simulation Theory,’ created exclusively for the Enhanced Experience,” explains the official website. This is a physical installation to visit pre-concert (“hors d’oeuvres and cash bar” plus “early merchandise shopping”) with the necessary headsets supplied by Microsoft.
