Festival ticketing and travel platform Festicket has raised $10.5m in its Series D funding round. It was led by VC firm Beringea, with InMotion Ventures (the VC fund of Jaguar Land Rover) and Channel 4’s Commercial Growth Fund among the investors. As was Eelko Van Kooten, the former CEO of dance-music firm Spinnin’ Records. The funding is for a company that has sold tickets and travel packages for more than 1,200 music festivals to more than two million fans so far. The round takes Festicket’s total funding so far to $24.2m.

Expansion to North America and Asia is on its agenda now. “With this new investment we will be able to accelerate the expansion of our unique business model internationally and to more verticals,” said CEO Zack Sabban. “Our success so far has been driven by our focus on content, community and commerce, so we will use the same ingredients to become the go-to global brand for live event experiences.”
