Deezer has announced the next swathe of artists who’ll benefit from its ‘Deezer Next’ promotion in 2019. British artists Sam Fender and Lewis Capaldi will be global priorities for the streaming service this year, with Capaldi having stepped up from being a Deezer Next artist in the UK last year.

They follow Deezer’s global artists in 2018 – Jorja Smith, Zak Abel, The Blaze and Sofi Tukker – who the company says saw their fanbase on Deezer grow by 3,370% on average over the course of the year.

Deezer has also announced the first group of local Next artists for 2019: Hervé, Lolo Zouaï, Voyou and Green Montana in France; Gurr, Ilira and Fontaines D.C. in Germany; Jade Bird and Hamzaa in the UK; MYA, ATL and Mabiland in Latin America; Dreezy and Cheyo Carrillo in the US; Manuel Turizo across LatAm and the US; Mathea and Josh. in Austria; Idaly and Pip Blom in the Netherlands; Nyno Vargas in Spain; and Easy Freak in South Africa.
