Deezer has announced that former Sony Music, Apple Music and BBC man Nigel Harding is its new VP of artist marketing. He’ll oversee the streaming service’s team that works with artists and labels on campaigns, including its Deezer Next program for emerging talent.

He’s joining from Sony’s Nothing Else Matters Records, where he was co-director, but before that he worked on playlisting strategy for Apple Music. Hang on, though: Deezer already had a global VP of artist marketing: Sulinna Ong, who joined the company in September 2016. But Deezer has confirmed to Music Ally that Ong left the company a few weeks ago – her next destination has yet to be announced.
