Now that it owns Pandora, SiriusXM is exploring various ways to link the music-streaming service with its own satellite-radio business. This week’s idea bolsters an area of considerable strategic focus for Pandora: podcasts.

SiriusXM is starting to turn some of its radio talk-shows into podcasts for distribution through Pandora, claiming that the new shows will “reach more than 100 million audio listeners” through the two platforms. Among the hosts whose shows will be converted are Andy Cohen, Ricky Gervais, Jenny McCarthy and Kevin Hart.

“This will be a great opportunity for new audiences to discover these SiriusXM shows, while providing Pandora with great programming, as we continue to collaborate on content opportunities for both platforms,” said SiriusXM’s president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein.
