Dating app Tinder now has a ‘Festival Mode’ for music fans

Dating at festivals has come a long way since the days of drinking seven cans of mind-altering cider then finding a friendly face in the crowd. In 2019, inevitably, the culture of swipe-right dating apps is coming to music festivals too. Specifically, Tinder has added a ‘festival mode’ to its app, to help people hook up with like-minded festivalgoers at a range of events this summer, including EDC Las Vegas, The Governors Ball and Bonnaroo in the US, and All Points East, Parklife and Lovebox in the UK.

“Get on Tinder and look for the Festival Mode card. Match with it to add your festival badge to your profile, and see who’s going where. From there, you can check out everyone else going to that festival, so you can match and chat before you make your flower crown,” explained its blog post. “And don’t worry, we’ll be there to provide an experience so grammable you just may want to keep it all to yourself.” The first and last time you’ll see the word ‘grammable’ in this bulletin, we promise…
