In perhaps the first example of K-Pop megastars BTS following in the footsteps of metal legends Iron Maiden – readers, write in if you can think of another! – BTS are getting their own mobile game. It’s called BTS World, and it’s being developed by Korean mobile-gaming firm Netmarble.

The game is coming out for Android and iOS devices, and although it isn’t out yet, fans have been able to pre-register for it since yesterday (9 May).

The publisher is describing it as a “story-based mobile simulation game” which, judging from its website, will put fans in the role of BTS’ manager before their first release, tasked with making them a global success. The big deal for fans is that the game is promising lots of original content co-created with the band: more than 10k photos and 100 exclusive video clips.
