Facebook’s suite of licensing deals with music rightsholders continues to bear fruit with new features on its services.
Yesterday, Instagram announced that lyrics have been added to the music ‘sticker’ that’s used to add music to story posts on its app. “You can search from a library of songs and choose the one that best fits your mood in the moment. When you search for the part of the song you want to use, you’ll now be able to use the lyrics as a reference point to see where you are,” explained Instagram’s announcement. “If the song has lyrics, they will automatically pop up. Tap the lyrics to change the animation and text style.”
