Warner Classics launches new website with streaming built in

Warner Music Group has a revamped website for its Warner Classics & Erato arm, which it hopes will capitalise on the potential of streaming for the classical-music audience. So much so, that Warner has built streaming directly in to the new website.

Visitors will be able to stream 30-second clips from the Warner Classics & Erato catalogue, and if they’re subscribers to Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer, they’ll be able to sign in and stream full recordings from the site.

“We’re fortunate to serve a loyal community of music-lovers who are so passionate about the various genres of classical music and supportive of their favourite artists. We’re also looking forward to welcoming people who are less familiar with classical music and taking them on a journey of discovery,” said the label’s SVP of global operations and business development Markus Peterson. Warner worked with agencies Piccobello and FFW Agency on the site’s relaunch.
