Festicket is the company that sells tickets AND travel to festivalgoers, currently working with more than 2,000 events worldwide. It’s just announced an acquisition that it hopes will fuel its next stage of growth.

Festicket is buying a company called Event Genius: a UK firm that has developed its own ticketing and cashless point-of-sale (POS) platform, but which also runs a fan-facing ticketing site called Ticket Arena.

On the B2B side, the brand will now be Event Genius by Festicket, and is described as “an end-to-end platform for organisers and fans alike… ticketing, accommodation, travel & packages, marketing, data insights & analytics, access control, POS and cashless payment services, fan engagement tools and more”.

Event Genius founder Reshad Hossenally will be staying on following the acquisition, as chief supply chain officer at Festicket. The companies say that separately, they have served more than 4.5 million customers so far.
