Apple has put on a series of concerts this summer under its ‘Up Next’ emerging-artists banner. Now it’s taking the logical next step of making recordings of those concerts available to stream.

The company has released a series of ‘Up Next Live EPs’ on Apple Music from seven artists: Bad Bunny, Omar Apollo, King Princess, Lewis Capaldi, Daniel Caesar, Ashley McBryde and Khalid. The EPs range in length from five to eight tracks; have also been made available to buy from the iTunes Store; and feature the kind of brightly-coloured artwork that’s increasingly familiar from Apple Music’s programmed playlists. This all ties in to the wider ‘Up Next’ programme, with Clairo the latest artist to be chosen for spotlighting under the scheme.
