It’s been a while since we’ve checked in with ticketing startup Dice – in March, when the company launched in the US. Now it’s expanding again, this time to Italy.
Dice’s app is now live there, complete with an exclusive deal to sell tickets for FKA Twigs’ next Milan concert in November. Dice also says it has partnerships with Italian promoter Radar Concerti and Milan venues Magazzini Generali and Arci Ohibò.
“Dice is already working in Italy, since we went on-sale exclusively with FKA Twigs in Milan, not one single ticket has ended up on a secondary ticketing site,” said chief revenue officer Russ Tannen.
As elsewhere, Dice is making tout-busting one of its key selling points in Italy, both to the industry and to ticket-buying fans. Behind the scenes, there are some new faces involved too, at board level. Dice’s filings with Companies House in the UK reveal that it appointed three new directors in mid-August: former Spotify exec Angela Watts; growth consultancy SI Partners partner Charles Fallon; and growth-stage VC firm Blisce partner Sam Giber.
