Social brand Flighthouse has reached a new milestone with its TikTok channel: it now has more than 20 million followers. The company says that its recent growth has been fuelled by its decision to start producing its own original videos (rather than just reposting other people’s content), with the channel having added more than two million followers in the last eight weeks.
“In 2017 when Flighthouse had less than a million followers, we made a serious commitment to grow the brand into the most popular destination on the platform,” said CEO Jacob Pace in a statement. “Over the last two years, we’ve matured right along with TikTok, shifting to original vertical video content, amassing an enormous following, setting cultural trends and supporting a new generation of influencers and artists.”
That growth from one to 20 million followers has come since Flighthouse was acquired in 2017 by Create Music Group. Flighthouse now reckons that it’s ‘the leading non-influencer channel on TikTok’, although it continues to build its audience on other social networks too.
