South Park has long been a critic of, well, just about everything. But the show has often aimed its satirical powers at China and now DJ Zedd claims he has been banned from China for liking a tweet on South Park’s Twitter account marking its 300th episode.
“I just got permanently banned from China because I liked a @SouthPark tweet,” he tweeted from his own account, with CNBC confirming the story with his publicist.
What that “ban” actually entails is, for now, unclear but CNBC is speculating that it could be a ban on entering the country. South Park has been heavily censored on search engines in China due to its rolling criticism of the country.
