Applications for year two of Accelerator have opened – the education initiative set up by the MMF and YouTube Music to help the next generation of music managers develop the skills and contacts they need to get ahead. The scheme also has backing from Arts Council England and the Scottish Music Industries Association.

There are grants of up to £15,000 a year being offered to successful applicants and there will be a travel bursary to help underwrite the costs of traveling to international industry conferences. It is open to managers in full or part-time employment who want to set up their own company and devote all their time to managing acts.

“Successful applicants will benefit from over 100 hours of professional mentoring, training and masterclasses, covering all aspects of the music business,” say its organisers. The deadline for applications is midnight on 25th October. Full details on how to apply are here.
