Spotify has announced another original podcast in partnership with a musician: country artist Reba McEntire. It’s due to launch early in 2020, with Spotify promising “Reba’s trademark wit and wisdom as she and expert guests share honest, comedic takes on struggles we all face when it comes to confronting life’s challenges, making good decisions, and creating happiness around us”.
This isn’t Spotify’s first rodeo working with a country artist on a podcast: in September, it announced plans for an exclusive podcast with the band Midland, whose 10-episode ‘Set It Straight with Midland’ show investigates famous stories from country-music history.
Outside country, meanwhile, Spotify has also created an original podcast about US singer/songwriter mxmtoon, following the process of recording her debut album.
