The NFL is launching content on music-streaming services

American-football league the NFL (or for American readers, simply ‘football league the NFL) is getting into music streaming in an interesting way. It’s launched a ‘hub’ on services including Spotify, Pandora, SoundCloud, Tidal and TuneIn which it says will give fans “access to some of the greatest moments from the history of the game, as well as highlights from this season, podcasts, curated playlists and much more”.

The content will be tailored to what each platform makes possible, although the NFL’s announcement noted that “for some platforms, certain NFL content will be the first non-music video visual assets”.

Expect footage of past stars and current matches alike, while podcasts are also a big part of the NFL’s content slate – something that’ll play well with the podcasts push for the likes of Spotify and Pandora.
