British radio DJ Clara Amfo has launched a new podcast called ‘This City’, which will see her explore the streets of London “through the eyes of some of the city’s most recognisable names”. Available on all the usual podcast platforms, the interesting thing about it is that the podcast’s producer is Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative division, alongside Bea Duncan of Broccoli Content – the joint venture involving Sony Music that launched last October.
It’s more evidence that Sony’s podcasts push isn’t just about music shows, but is branching out into other kinds of format too. But given the celebrity focus of ‘This City’ there will presumably be an opportunity for Sony Music’s artists to feature in some of the episodes (and perhaps on the soundtracks for non-music guests too).
