Music firm Kobalt has a new boss, although he’s not a new face at the company. Current president and chief revenue officer Laurent Hubert is now Kobalt’s CEO, as its founder Willard Ahdritz is stepping back to a role as chairman. He’ll stay on as chief investment officer at Kobalt Capital, the company’s investment arm.
“I’m very pleased that we are taking this step; I know Kobalt and our clients will be better for it. Laurent is an excellent executive. I’m really looking forward to continuing our partnership together and driving Kobalt into the next phase of the company,” Ahdritz told MBW. He also says that Kobalt is on course to post $700m of revenues for its latest financial year, to the end of June 2020, representing around 20% year-on-year growth.
