Gigs-discovery service Bandsintown is partnering with Google-owned navigation app Waze to offer artists and fans real-time travel information when going to shows, including alerting them to road closures and traffic delays.
“Bandsintown sends millions of fans to concerts and adding Waze to the Bandsintown experience adds another technology layer to make such experience smoother,” said Bandsintown’s managing partner Fabrice Sergent.
People using Bandsintown to buy tickets to shows can use the Plan Trip in Waze button on the event page to get the necessary travel information.
It’s the latest music partnership for Waze, which has also integrated a number of streaming services into its app, so that people can control their music while driving.
