Artist Dave was the star of the Brit Awards earlier this week, with his new verse for his song ‘Black’ calling Prime Minister Boris Johnson a racist; drawing attention to the differing media coverage of the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex (aka Kate and Meghan); calling for more conservation and less deforestation; and slamming the treatment of Grenfell Tower victims and the Windrush generation of people who moved from Caribbean countries to the UK. It was the standout moment from the show. Now Dave will also be headlining another show for one of the big music streaming services.

Apple Music has announced this morning that he’ll top the bill at its first ‘Agenda’ concert on 28 February – ‘Agenda’ being Apple Music’s playlist focused on hip-hop, grime, R&B and Afrobeats in the UK – alongside MIST and Ms Banks.

The show will take place in an as-yet unannounced London venue, with Apple Music subscribers able to apply for tickets. Boris may not be first in the queue, but we suspect there’ll be enormous demand from Apple’s listeners.
