AI-tagging startup Musiio has launched a new service that will make it easier for music companies to use its technology. It’s called Musiio App, and is aimed at independent labels, production houses, sync companies, DJs and other creatives.

Anyone with a catalogue of music, who wants to make it easier to tag those tracks and search through them quickly. It’s a self-service tool: people can sign up and use it for 25 tracks for free as a trial, before paying 5p per track (around $0.06) after that.

Musiio App will sit alongside the company’s existing Tag API and Search API services, which are more expensive and aimed at larger clients. One of the first clients for Musiio App is Digital Cupboard, a company that’s currently digitising two large music catalogues in Africa.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
