If we are all about to go into remote-working self-isolation for a few weeks, there’s no better time to get a Netflix subscription to work through the wonderful back catalogue of animation firm Studio Ghibli.
The company has already been making some music-streaming moves alongside its new distribution partnership with Netflix: 38 of its film soundtracks appeared on streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music earlier this year. Now Studio Ghibli also has a deal with Chinese platform NetEase Cloud Music, which will be the digital distributor in China for the soundtracks. On its own streaming service, they’ll sit within NetEase’s growing catalogue of Japanese music, from J-Pop to classical.
