Two more artists have revealed plans for weekly YouTube formats during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Rolling Stones have launched something called ‘Extra Licks’, which will stream past live performances on their YouTube channel every Sunday, using YouTube’s ‘premieres’ feature. The first, focusing on the band’s 2016 ‘Ole!’ tour of Latin America, can be watched here and has nearly 250k views at the time of writing.
As for Foals, they’re launching a 12-part series of short films called ‘FBC Transmissions’ which will blend new and previously-unseen archive footage promising “an insight into Foals’ creative process, touring experiences and personalities”. They’ll also be weekly, with the first episode having launched on Friday (1 May) with nearly 20k views so far.
