Pink Floyd have launched a new streaming playlist on Spotify and YouTube called ‘Syd, Roger, Richard, Nick and David – An Evolving Pink Floyd Playlist‘. The clue to the playlist’s nature is in the title: it won’t be static. Instead, the playlist’s tracklisting will change every day, with “specially curated album tracks” added at the top. What’s more, every Friday the playlist will add some rare tracks, which were originally available on Pink Floyd’s ‘Immersion’ box sets. While the playlist will live on Spotify and YouTube, the rare tracks will also be made available on other streaming services like Amazon and Apple Music. It’s the latest digital marketing campaign for Pink Floyd, following a set of Instagram and Facebook augmented-reality filters that launched in January, based on the artwork of several of the band’s albums.
