It’s rare that we have to unblock a website from our broadband’s content filters in order to write a news story, but that’s the case this morning. Cardi B has launched a new subscription for her fans, on the website OnlyFans – which is mainly known for the large community of porn stars who use it for their premium subscriptions.

Cardi B will be charging fans $4.99 a month for exclusive stuff, starting with behind-the-scenes content from her recent ‘WAP’ video shot with Megan Thee Stallion.

OnlyFans isn’t just for adult entertainers: influencers have started using it too, but Cardi B is by far the most prominent musician to try out the platform.

“NO I WON’T BE SHOWING PU*SY, TI**IES AND A*S,” she wrote in an Instagram post directing fans to the site – we’re not prudes with those asterisks, we’re just trying to make sure we don’t get this site blocked by your corporate filters.

If it’s a success, perhaps other artists will follow in her footsteps.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
