mdundo

It’s barely a month since we were reporting that African streaming service Mdundo had five million monthly active users. Now the official total has risen to 6.4 million. That’s according to the company’s new quarterly update.

Thanks to growth in the east, west and south of Africa, the company’s user total is up 144% year-on-year.

Mdundo also says that it expects its revenues to grow by 150% in its current financial year, although the exact amounts have not been disclosed.

More predictions though: Mdundo is hoping to grow to between 8.5 and nine million monthly users in 2021, and then to double that to 18 million in 2022. It’s also working on its first partnership with a telco, which it hopes to announce before the end of this year.
