Weverse is the app being used by now-public K-Pop giant Big Hit Entertainment to connect its artists with fans – BTS included. Now the company is opening up the platform to western artists, starting with a partnership with Universal Music Group.
US artist Gracie Abrams is the first to launch a profile on Weverse, but Big Hit said that Alexander 23 and Yungblud will follow soon, along with “additional global recording artists from Universal Music Group”. All three are signed to Interscope Geffen A&M.
“With the launch of Gracie Abrams’ community, Weverse will simultaneously provide access to the artist’s music, music videos, and live performance videos through its comprehensive media tab,” added the press release.
