Dua Lipa’s ‘Studio 2054’ online concert was excellent on Friday, but was it successful?

Early figures from the organisers suggest that it was, with more than 5m estimated views. That’s a number that needs breaking down, however: “Over 1.9 million unique log-ins from China, 95,000 from India and 263,264 tickets sold across the regular ticketing platforms,” according to the announcement.

Tickets were priced differently depending when you bought them: the £8.99 our team paid when getting in early would suggest gross revenues of £2.4m at the bare minimum, but for now we don’t have information on how the 263k sales were split, nor on the monetisation around viewing in China and India. The concert remains available to view until this Sunday (6 December) for a reduced rate of £7.50 ($10).
