Apple Music is the latest streaming service to publish its year-end lists at the start of December – we would say ‘poor Mariah Carey’ but… we sense she’s fine.

Roddy Ricch was the big winner this year on Apple’s service: his ‘The Box’ was its top track, and ‘Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial’ was its top album. He also appeared on two other tracks in Apple’s top 10: DaBaby’s ‘Rockstar’ and Mustard’s ‘Ballin”. The Weeknd, Tones and I, Future, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Billie Eilish and Lil Baby were also in the top 10.

Meanwhile, Apple Music’s ‘most read lyrics’ rankings were topped by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘WAP’, while Tones and I’s ‘Dance Monkey’ was the most tagged song on Shazam. Apple Music has also launched its annual Replay feature to help people see what their most popular tracks were.
