YogaDownload service adds music from several dance labels

The latest example of a fitness or wellbeing service working directly with the music industry is YogaDownload. It’s an online platform of yoga classes that has been going since 2006, and now it’s broadening its catalogue with the help of some electronic music labels.

Global Underground, Anjunadeep, Selador Recordings and Sahalé are the first labels on board for a new programme of classes exploring what YogaDownload is describing as “the fusion of yoga and pensive electronic music”. Not so many bangers then, but it’s certainly an interesting area for these labels to be exploring. YogaDownload’s model is a combination of monthly and annual subscriptions, with the company going after the estimated 300 million people globally who currently practise yoga often.
