Fitness service Peloton’s partnerships with the music industry have so far focused on licensing and marketing – the latter through its ‘Artist Series’ of workouts. Now it’s testing the waters with… well, not quite ‘original’ music as such, since it’s a trio of remixes of existing Elvis Presley tracks. And not permanent exclusives either: the three remixes, by Dillon Francis, Chromeo and Big Boi, will be exclusive to Peloton for a month, with Sony Music able to release them elsewhere after that point.

Nevertheless, it’s interesting to see Peloton striking this kind of deal, and it paves the way for others in the coming weeks and months – especially with the Elvis tracks being part of a new ‘Ultimate Remix Collection’ on Peloton.
