Deezer has launched its latest feature for brands: the ability to sponsor its curated (editorial) playlists. They can now pay to have their image splashed across any playlist’s header, along with a link to their website and audio adverts. Obviously, all this will only be seen and heard by Deezer’s free listeners, and not by its paying subscribers.
Marshall is the first brand to test the ‘sponsored editorial playlists’ feature out, with the ‘Poptop’ and ‘Pop All Stars’ playlists in France.
Deezer’s VP of advertising sales Emilie Proyart said that the streaming service is also working with brands in Turkey and Egypt on the new initiative.
