Amazon Music’s latest artist partnership takes its cues from TV in the 1960s and 1970s, when ‘variety hour special’ shows would be fronted by an artist, with other acts taking part. Next Friday (29 January) Amazon will launch ‘Tonight With Arlo Parks’, a show with the British artist to promote her new album ‘Collapsed in Sunbeams’, which is released the same day.

Parks will perform along with fellow artists Romy, Dave Okumu and Glass Animals, with the promise of “conversations, poetry readings and collaborations, all existing in a plethora of evocative and gradually unravelling environments”.

Amazon will premiere the show on its Twitch channel and within its Amazon Music app at 8pm UK time on Friday, before making it available on-demand through Amazon Prime Video.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
