There’s a long history of video and social media platforms building detailed ‘playbooks’ – resources teaching the people using their services how to build audiences and make good stuff. TikTok is no different: it has just revamped its educational materials with the launch of the TikTok Creator Portal.

Aimed at creators old and new, it promises best-practice guides as well as “articles that help interpret community trends, dive deeper into the use of sound and music, and spotlight creative effects”. It sounds like it will be a useful resource for the musicians who continue to flock to the platform but need a little help getting to grips with its culture and trends.
