Big Hit Entertainment’s Weverse social platform has been a big hit for its K-Pop bands and their thriving fandoms. Rival SM Entertainment has also teamed up with tech firm Naver on livestreaming service Beyond Live and social platform Fanship. Now there’s a new platform in the K-Pop town, called Universe, developed by games company Ncsoft.

It’s an app that is launching globally, offering artist profiles; music videos, photos and podcast content; features for fans to create their own videos and artwork; and even an AI-powered feature delivering messages and announcements in the voices of artists. Monsta X, Cix and The Boyz are among the artists on board for launch.

Ncsoft says that more than four million people have pre-registered for the Universe app, 80% of whom are outside South Korea.
