K-Pop artists have been taking streaming services by storm around the world. Now their music could fuel the next mobile gaming hit. Well, that’s what developer Superb Corp is hoping with its new mobile game Rhythm Hive, which has just launched. It’s a real-time music rhythm game featuring music from BTS, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and Enhyphen courtesy of a tight relationship with Korean music firm Big Hit Entertainment.

Big Hit actually acquired Superb in August 2019, with the promise of deploying the developer to make games based on its artists.

Rhythm Hive looks to be serving K-Pop stans well: they can choose their favourite band members to play as, and collect cards based on them. The game is free to download, with in-app purchases including individual ‘Hive Pass’ subscriptions for each of the three groups, as well as for virtual gems that can be spent within the game.
