Jadu is one of the startups exploring the potential of augmented reality technology for music artists. Its latest experiment is with artist Palaye Royale, for whom it has created an AR experience called ‘Curse of Calypso‘. It’ll bring the band (and their piano) into fans’ living rooms, along with music from their latest album ‘The Bastards’.

They join previous artists to have worked with Jadu including K Camp, Poppy, Pussy Riot, Vic Mensa, Sir Chloe and Josh Richards.

What’s interesting is that Jadu is charging for these experiences: it costs $4.99 to unlock ‘Curse of Calypso’ as an in-app purchase in Jadu’s mobile app. That app is currently available for iOS, with an Android version on the way.
