Startup Vampr is describing itself as a “LinkedIn for Creatives” nowadays, and the company has just raised more funding to continue developing its service. The money is $790k, taking it to $2.6m raised so far – with a Series A funding round to follow. Vampr says it will use the new funding to launch a desktop version of its service, as well as livestreaming tools for its users.

The $790k came from an equity crowdfunding campaign – a source of fundraising that Vampr has been tapping since 2019 – with more than 2,000 investors chipping in so far. The company also says that its monthly active users have grown by 400% in the last year.

Its crowdfunding page says that Vampr has 700,000 users, but that’s a metric of how many people have joined the service since its launch, rather than its monthly active user base now. The page offers some more details on its plans though: the livestreaming feature will be called Vampr Pro Jams, and it’s also adding music distribution and publishing arms.
